Edward Lewis Croy, age 64, of Forsyth Co.; passed away Saturday, October 9, 2010. Edward was of the Baptist faith. During his time in the Army he was the recipient of The National Defense Service Metal, The Vietnam Campaign Metal, The Vietnam Service Metal, Expert (Rifle M-14) The Combat Infantryman Badge, The Driver and Mechanic Badge with Bar and One Overseas Bar. Edward is preceded in death by his parents; G.J. and Grace Croy, his son Eddie Croy, and his brother; Raymond Croy. Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Joyce D. Croy of Forsyth Co.; Children, April and Jason Holbrook of Forsyth Co. and Andrew Croy of Forsyth Co.; sister and brother-in-law Patsy and J.B. Seabolt of Forsyth Co. and brother and sister-in-law Richard and Linda Croy of Forsyth Co.; grandchildren, Mollie and Jake Holbrook; several nieces, nephews and other loving relatives also survive. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Monday, October 11, 2010 from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and again on Tuesday, October 12, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. at Ophir Baptist Church with Rev. Terry Cowart, Rev. Troy Milford, and Rev. J.B. Seabolt officiating. Interment will follow at Ophir Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may by made to Ophir Baptist Church, Franklin Goldmine Road, Ball Ground, Ga. 30107. Ingram Funeral Home Crematory, Cumming, Georgia is in charge of arrangements.
