Edwin Burt

Edwin Burt, age 74, of Cherokee County, passed away Sunday, July 15, 2012. He is preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edd Burt; sisters, Maudie Burt and Ethel Odom. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Judy Burt; children, Douglas "Cotton" Burt, Ginger Thomas, Michael Burt, Andrew Burt; 8 grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; sisters and brother-in-law, Edna and Herman Hubbard, Betty Stripland, Peggy Mcgehee; brother and sis-in-law, Diane and Billy Burt; very special friend, Bobby Turner of Cumming and other loving relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with Rev. Ruel Martin, Rev. Harold Bottoms, Rev. Keith Martin officiating. Interment will follow at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery, Dawson County. The family will receive friends on Monday, from 5 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, from 10 a.m. until the hour of service.
