Edwin "Ed" Burk

Edwin (Ed) Burk, 68, of Cumming passed away January 13, 2017. Ed was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who was fulfilled by caring for and spending time with his family. Ed enjoyed spending all of his time with his beloved wife, Dawn, especially day hiking in the mountains. After retiring and until his health declined,Edloved to care for his grandson, Noah; embracing his role and referred to himself as Noah's "Manny". He also shared his love of the outdoors day hiking with his grandsons, Elijah, Brandan, and Gage. Ed's family is at peace knowing he has gone home to be with the Lord and look forward to seeing him again. Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Dawn Burk; children, Sarah Jean and Serge Jorden, Paul Edwin and Stacey Burk; his grandchildren; sister, Shirley (Sissy) and Ron Boland; brother, Scott and Laurie Burk. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to World Vision at worldvision.org.
