Mr Edwin Smith, Sr., age 75, of Cumming, passed away Wednesday, August 22, 2012 after a period of declining health. Eddie was a native of Forsyth County and a 1955 graduate of Forsyth County High School. He was a member of Coal Mountain Baptist Church and is preceded in death by his parents, Inmon and Edith Smith and his brother, Loyd Smith. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 56 years, Annette Vaughan Smith; daughter and son-in-law, Marcy and Nicky Gravitt; sons and daughters-in-law, Eddie and Connie Smith, Toby and Angie Smith; grandchildren, Katie and Nathan Vaughan, Nathan Smith, Miranda Smith, Jenna Leigh Gravitt; brother and sister-in-law, Bobby and Patt Smith all of Cumming; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jimmy and Cathy Vaughan of Eastman, Johnny and Malvelene Vaughan, Larry and Nancy Vaughan all of Cumming; sisters-in-law, Toni Smith, Sarah Smith both of Dawsonville and other loving relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 25, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Bennett, Rev. Robert Martin, and Rev. Gerald Blackburn officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Thursday, from 5 to 9, and Friday, 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Ingram Funeral Home & Crematory, Cumming, Georgia is in charge of arrangements.
