Eliezer “Eli” Gruber

Eliezer “Eli” Gruber, age 72, of Roswell, Georgia, passed away May 9th, 2022, due to heart complications. He was born on December 24, 1949, in Haifa, Israel to Aaron and Paula Gruber.  His father was a WWII combat veteran, and his mother was a Holocaust Survivor.

Eli spent his youth living in the Ramat Yohanan Kibbutz community. At the age of 18, he became a 3rd consecutive generation infantryman, operating as a long-range reconnaissance patrolman in the Israeli Army.  He servedbetween 1968 – 1971, and again in 1973 during the Yom Kippur War, finishing with the rank of 1st Lieutenant.

When he was 22, he came to the United States and would later graduate from California State University, Fullerton, receivingdegrees in Marketing and Finance, as well as an MBA. He met his beloved wife of 45 years, Marcia, in their statistics class.

Eli and Marcia were married in 1977, and eventually settled in Roswell, Georgia where they raised four beautiful children together. Eli was a proud entrepreneur. He established and built several successful companies over his career, ranging from retail and software businesses to a wastewater treatment company.  He looked at challenges as opportunities, and never shied away from taking a risk. Eli was decidedly independent and lived by the life mantra, “nothing ventured, nothing gained.”

Eli was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather.  He will be fondly remembered for his sense of humor, positive disposition, bold opinions, and heart of gold. Eli was the life of our party, and he will be deeply missed.

Family meant everything to Eli. He is survived by his wife Marcia, and their children Allen (Tricia), Oren (Tiffany), Nathan(Chelsie), and Talia (Mark). As well as by his eight grandchildren Ben, Kamryn, Josh, Brooklyn, Anna, Charlotte, Valerie, and Lewis.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday May 14th, 2022, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 500 Norcross Street, Roswell, GA. The family will receive guests at 1:15pm,and the service will begin at 2:00pm
