Elizabeth Ann Brock

It is with heavy hearts and deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Ann Brock, on March 10, 2025, at the age of 85. She was a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, and her loss leaves a great void in the lives of all who knew her.

Born on April 28, 1939, at her home in Atlanta, Georgia, Ann was a woman of incredible strength, and kindness. She dedicated her life to her family, always putting others’ needs above her own. In 1986, she became Nannie to Katie and then to Jake, and she loved spending time with them and spoiling them a little bit. They were her “sunshine,” and she loved and was loved by them. Ann was a giver, and she had a servant’s heart for family and friends. She retired from J.M. Tull after more than thirty years of service. In retirement, she became the best neighbor, always ready to visit, offer a listening ear, or help in any way she could.

Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Virgil and Mattie Jones; sisters, Virginia, Kay, Peggy, and Jean; and three siblings that passed away as young children, Elizabeth, Louise, and Buddy. She is survived by her daughters Kathy Brock and Donna Dixon and son-in law Patrick Dixon; grandchildren Jake Dixon and Katie and Jackson Mathews; sisters and brothers-in-law, Brenda and Ed Staton, Shirley and Ronnie Cash, and David Mitchell, and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members, all of whom will carry her memory with love and admiration.

At Ann’s request, there will be no funeral. There will be a small gathering of family members, close friends, and neighbors to celebrate her life at a later date.

Though she is no longer with us, we are confident she is present with the Lord. Ann’s love and spirit will remain in our hearts forever. Her legacy of love, generosity, and devotion will continue to guide us through the days ahead.
