Elizabeth Meeks Day

Elizabeth Meeks Day, age 81 of Cumming, GA passed away on January 1, 2023. She was born in 1941, to the late Loyd and Willie Mae Meeks. She was a member of Cumming Second Baptist Church. She volunteered for many years at Helping Hands in Cumming, GA. Elizabeth was a great cook and always enjoyed baking and serving others in her community. She loved her family and grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 52 years, Winford Day; and brother, Junior Meeks.  

She is survived by her two sons, Charles (Elaine) Day and Tim (Melinda) Day; sisters, Mertie Sims and Edith Howard; grandchildren, Eric (Erin) Day, Ken (Ashley) Day, Cynthia (David) Stewart, Nick (Erin) Frady, Natasha (Jamie) Mealor, Brooke (Jeremie) Kirby, Cody (Morgan) White, Josh Day; stepgrandchildren, Britney (Jay) Shoemake, Brad (Amber) Cobb, and Brandon (Paige) Cobb; 21 great grandchildren; along with many other loving relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home in Cumming, GA with Rev. Stephen Davis and Rev. Sam Rickett officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m until 9:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service.
