Elvira Tallant McBrayer

Elvira Tallant McBrayer, age 102, passed away Saturday, November 4, 2017.Elvira was the oldest member of Friendship Baptist Church and was a member of the adult choir, Bible Seekers adult Sunday school class, and WMU. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ivan McBrayer; grandson, Greg McPherson; great grandson, Scott Tribble; sons in law, Archie McPherson and Tom Lathem; grandson in law, Sam Tribble; 6 siblings.

Survivors include her daughters and son in law, Barbara (Jerry) Bagley, Charlene Lathem, and Rebecca McPherson all of Cumming; grandchildren, Kasey (Chris) Chester, Myra Tribble, Leda (Gary) Mauldin, David (Susan) Bagley, Gary (Christi) Bagley, Sandi (Charlie) Nordholz; great grandchildren, Eric Tribble, Tayler Mauldin, Dylan Mauldin, Ella Chester, Clayton Chester, Jessica (Doug) Sills, Sara (Jonathan) Jennings, Marybeth (Will) Gleeson, Carli Nordholz, Chuck Nordholz, Christopher (Megan) Bagley, and Alex (Ashley) Bagley; 7 great great grandchildren along with many other loving relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at 3pm at Friendship Baptist Church with Rev. Ricky Byrd, Rev. Bud Sutton, and Rev. Christopher Bagley officiating. Interment in Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, November 6, 2017 from 4pm to 9pm and Tuesday from 10 am until time of service.

The family would like to thank Dr. Shannon Mize and the nurses and staff at Cumming Nursing Center for all their loving care.

In lieu of flowers donation may be made to the Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery fund.
