Emmett Watson

Emmett Watson, age 89, of Cumming passed away Saturday, June 9, 2012. He was a member of Coal Mountain Baptist Church and a lifelong resident of Forsyth County. He served in WWII in the Army Air Force. Emmett is preceded in death by his brothers, Lemuel Watson, Elmer Watson and son-in-law, Vernon L. Strickland. Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Dorothy Wheeler Watson; sons and daughters-in-law, Larry (Jean) Watson, Don (Linda) Watson; daughter, Flora Jean Watson Strickland all of Cumming; son and daughter-in-law, David (Melanie) Watson of Marietta; brothers and sister-in-law, Johnny Watson, Delmer (Kitty Sue) Watson; sister, Ann Sanford all of Cumming; 8 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and other loving relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 11, 2012 at 4:00 p.m. at Ingram Funeral Home with Rev. Scott Anthony Bailey, Rev. Robert Martin and Rev. Ruel Martin officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Sunday, from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday, from 9 a.m. until the hour of service.
