Emmie Lou Pilgrim, age 93, of Cumming, Ga, passed away Saturday, October 9, 2010. She was a lifelong resident of Forsyth County and a lifelong member of Piedmont Methodist Church. Emmie Lou was a beloved sister, aunt and friend to many. She claimed many nieces and nephews as her own. She loved everything about the outside and had a large garden until the age of 84 that she spent many hours tending with her beloved sister, Mary. Emmie Lou will be missed by all. She is preceded in death by her husband, Forrest Pilgrim; three infant children; sisters and brothers-in-law, Thelma and Ernest Morgan, Imogene and Herbert Andrews, Pauline and Winston McCormick, Juanita and Fay Martin; brother-in-law, Cline Hamby, brother and sister-in-laws, John Lawrence and Edria Hughes; and brother, Billy Hughes. Survivors include her sister, Mary Hamby; sister-in-law Kathleen Hughes; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Sunday, October 10, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. On Monday, October 11, 2010 from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again on Tuesday, October 12, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of services. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. Ingram Funeral Home Crematory, Cumming, Georgia is in charge of arrangements.
