Emory Douglas Ramey

Emory Douglas Ramey, 86, of Cumming, GA passed away August 17, 2023. Mr. Ramey was born in Buford, GA to the late Emory and Era Higgins Ramey. He was the owner and operator of Ramey’s Department Store in Cumming and served in the U.S. Naval Reserves. Emory was a devoted Christian man who put others before himself. Mr. Ramey attended The Church At War Hill in Dawsonville, GA. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Barbara Ann Ramey; grandsons, Steven Combs, and Christian Leonard.

Mr. Ramey is survived by his children and their spouses, Mike Ramey, Kathy and Brinkley Goodson, Greg and Celia Ramey, Keith and Debbie Ramey, Sonseirae and Wayne Leonard; special daughter in-law, Judy Ramey; sister, Francis Pauline Bramblett; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Monday, August 21, 2023 at the Church At War Hill with Rev. Johnny Padgett, Pastor Don Allen, and Grandson Caleb Goodson officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Gardens in Cumming, GA. The family will receive friends Saturday, August 19, 2023 from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm , Sunday, August 20, 2023 from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and Monday August 21, 2023 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Ingram Funeral Home, 210 Ingram Ave., Cumming, GA 30040.
