Eugene Bud Doyle Ivey

Eugene Doyle Bud Ivey, age 84, of Gainesville, GA, passed away Thursday, December 26, 2019. He was born on October 18, 1935 to the late Charlie and Josie Smith Ivey. Bud was a native of Forsyth County and lived there his whole life. He attended Chestatee School and graduated in 1955. Bud worked for Mark Heard Hatchery and Corns Furniture as a service repairman. Along with being a repairman, he enjoyed working with his cows, cutting and bailing hay, and working in his vegetable garden. He was a member of Salem Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Emmett Ivey, Braskin Ivey, and Duffy Ivey.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Annie Marie Evans Ivey; daughter and son-in-law, Hilda and David Ammons; grandson, Truitt Ammons; sister, Gladys Cornell; a number of nieces and nephews; along with many other loving friends and relatives.

Funeral services for Bud will be heldSaturday, December 28, 2019 at 2:00 p.m.in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home in Cumming, GA with Rev. Ruel Martin and Rev. David Ammons officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Gardens in Cumming, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral homeSaturday from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m

In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Mayfield Baptist Church or Salem Baptist Church in Buds Memory.
