Eunice Taylor Therrel, age 91, of Atlanta, passed away Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at the Cumming Nursing Center, Cumming, GA. Born in Spartanburg, SC, Eunice is preceded in death by her husband, D. Holt Therrel; brothers, Jonas, Russell and Homer Taylor; sister, Margaret Kerr. For over 30 years, she was an active member of Trinity Presbyterian Church, Atlanta and participated in various local and community activities, such as the E. Rivers School PTA and the Girl Scouts of NW Georgia. As a resident of Campbell-Stone Buckhead for many years, she held posts on both the Residents Council and the Vespers Council She is survived by her daughters, Nellie McCloskey of Allen, TX; Margaret Luhrs of Atlanta; daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Dave Watkins of Cumming; 4 granddaughters, Kim Miller of Prosper, TX, Laurie Martin of Gadsden, AL, Jenny Luhrs of Cumming, Ashley Watkins of Cumming; 7 great grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Evelyn and Dogan Pettit of Spartanburg, SC; and sister Betty Ann Forrester of Moore, SC. Graveside services will be held Monday, August 29, at 11:00 a.m. in Arlington Memorial Park, Sandy Springs with Rev. Cader Howard, Trinity Presbyterian Church, officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Trinity Presbyterian Church of Atlanta. Ingram Funeral Home Crematory, Cumming, Georgia is in charge of arrangements.
