Evelyn Allen

Mary Evelyn Sutton Allen, of Roswell, GA, age 86, passed away on March 14, 2013. Evelyn was a lifelong member of Providence Baptist Church and was saved and baptized in 1939 at Mount Oliver Baptist Church. She loved to play the piano, sing and quilt, but her greatest joy was taking care of her children, grandchildren, brothers and sisters. Evelyn is preceded in death by her husband, Robert S. Allen, Sr.; daughter, Mary Catherine Allen and her parents, Walter "Jack" and Estelle Sutton. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Sam and Beverly Allen; grandchildren, Lori M. and Jeffery L. Johnson, Heather C. and Alexander Stapleton; great grandchildren, Nicholas Johnson, Madison Johnson, Sydney Young, Emma Stapleton; brothers and sisters, Martha Puckett, Donald Sutton, Bud Sutton, Nell Lee and numerous loving relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 17, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with Rev. John Lummus, Rev. Bobby Padgett and Rev. Kenny Sutton officiating. Interment will follow at Cumming City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 9 to 9 and Sunday from 9 a.m. until the hour of service.
