Evelyn Bennett Gazaway Parker,90, of Gainesville, formerly of Dawson County passed away Saturday, January 10, 2015following a brief illness. Evelyn was born in Dawson County to the late Arch & Ola Bennett and was a member of Bethany Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by the father of her children, Ford Gazaway; husband, Homer Parker; daughter, Joan Gazaway Abbott Westmoreland; sisters, Corene Jenkins, Louise Smith & Geneva Cook Patton; brothers, Lania Bennett & Lyman Bennett. Survivors include her daughter & son-in-law, Shirley & Larry Martin; son & daughter-in-law, Bobby & Marla Gazaway; grandchildren, Steven & Tabatha Abbott, Stanley & Gwinn Abbott, Brian & Sally Martin, Holly & Michael Bottoms, Shane & Renee Gazaway, 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Sara Sheffield; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral services will be held 11:00AM Tuesday, January 13, 2015 in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00-8:00PM on Monday, January 12th. The family is accepting flowers but those who wish, may make a donation to Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, 100 Lumpkin Campground Rd. South, Dawsonville, GA 30534.
