Evelyn Louise Evans

Evelyn Louise Evans, age 95, of Cumming, GA passed away Sunday, September 17, 2023. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry L. Evans, brother, Jack (Mary) Carnes and several brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law. She was a lifelong resident of Forsyth County and a member of New Harmony Baptist Church. She taught school at Ducktown School and then helped Henry raise chickens and run their business Evans Service Station. The things she loved most were caring for her grandchildren and great grandchildren before school and picking them up after school. She also loved cooking, especially her six-layer chocolate cake.

She is survived by her daughter & son-in-law, Nancy & Ronnie Echols, of Cumming, GA, brother-in-law & sister-in-law, Bob & Sue Evans, of Cumming, GA, grandchildren, Kenny (Michelle) Echols, Sonya (Scott) Bennett, great grandchildren, Evan (Madi) Echols, Parker Echols, Hadley Echols, Mackenzie Bennett, and great great grandchildren, Gracie, Rylan, & Eloise Echols.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM Wednesday September 20, 2023 in the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Pete Martin, Benny Grogan, and Joey Wallace officiating. Interment will follow in New Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 2:30 PM to 8:00 PM and Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
