Evelyn May (Hackett) Rodecker entered her eternal rest on June 12, 2018. She was born June 20, 1932 in Hubbard, Ohio, the daughter of Clyde and Frances Hackett. She graduated from Hubbard High School in 1950 and was married to Robert R. Rodecker of Sharon, Pa., on June 9, 1951. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, daughter Stacia Roble and husband Dennis Roble; son Richard (Rich) Rodecker and wife Sue; son Keith (Alan) Rodecker and wife Linda; and daughter Beth Rodecker; brother Walter Hackett and wife Genevieve Hackett; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was a member of Cumming First United Methodist Church where she was active in the Myrtie Poole circle of the United Methodist Women, and directed the annual Senior Citizens Christmas Party at the church for many years.
She was a warm, giving homemaker whose life was dedicated to her children and grandchildren. Her creative talents were evident in her home; she was an excellent seamstress, a talent she passed on to her two daughters. She and her husband hand built a total of three homes, one in Ohio and two in Georgia, including her current residence. She loved her garden and enjoyed the serenity of her backyard. She created greeting cards on her computer for friends and family, composing verses appropriate to the recipient.
