Everett Ray Garmon, 69, of Cumming passed away Sunday, February 14, 2021. Ray was born August 14, 1951 to the late Carl "Shorty" Garmon and Annie Mae Garmon. He served as a Firefighter for Fulton County for 20 years and was a longtime member and Deacon of Lower Shady Grove Baptist Church. In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his brother, Lamar Garmon.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Lynn Green Garmon; mother, Annie Mae Garmon; children, Jeff (Bethany) Garmon, Tammy (Robbie) Hampton, Sara (Jessica) Garmon-Ingle; grandchildren, Allie Hendrix, Austin Hendrix, Madison Hendrix, Emmett Garmon, Hudson Garmon, Zeke Garmon-Ingle; sisters, Ruth (Jerry) Rice, Laura (Jason) Herr; special niece, Rachel Green and nephew, Chad (Nyssa) Green.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 17, at 2:00 p.m. at the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ritchie Brown. Interment will follow at Peachtree Memorial Park in Duluth.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
