Faye Ann Truelove

Faye Ann Truelove, 83, of Cumming, Georgia passed from her mortal life to her eternal one on Tuesday, February 19, 2013. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Brenda Lamb Tavenier, and husband, J. Hoyt Truelove. Mrs. Truelove was born in Cumming on January 31, 1930 to George Duffy Stephens and Ruth Holbrook Stephens and lived there all her life. She was a lifelong member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church. She graduated from Cumming High School in 1947 where she lettered and was captain of the ladies basketball team. As a young woman, she participated in Powder Puff Division auto races at the track on Sawnee Mountain. She loved canning, quilting and crocheting and passed these crafts on to her children. She was also an avid gardener. People passing her home would often stop to compliment her on her beautiful flower beds. She would gladly share her knowledge as well as cuttings from her many varieties of plants. Mrs. Truelove was a loving and caring mother and grandmother and was very proud of her children, 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Survivors include her daughters, Kathy Herndon of Cumming, GA, Rhonda McKnight of Surprise, AZ and Robin Ralph of Huntsville, AL; sons-in-law, James McKnight and Geno Scala; grandchildren: Jaime Tavenier, Brad Reid, Steven Dykhouse, Shaun and Kevin McKnight, Claire Bass, Jake and Wade Ralph; and great-grandchildren: Lindsey and Hayley Tavenier, Alex and Dylan Reid and Tyler McKnight. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held February 23, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home. Entombment will follow at Sawnee View Mausoleum. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, February 21st from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and on Friday, February 22nd from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and again from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Viewing will also be on Saturday, February 23rd from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service.
