Florene Whitmire Castleberry

Mrs. Florene Whitmire Castleberry, age 88, a native and resident of Forsyth County passed away Tuesday, September 30, 2014. Mrs. Castleberry devoted 30 years of her life to her teaching career and the students of Chestatee School. She was a member of Salem Baptist Church in which she taught Sunday School and Bible School for all ages. Survivors include her children, Wade and Vicki Castleberry and Cathy Grindle, all of Forsyth County; grandchildren and great grandchildren, Chris and Vicky Grindle, Kyle and Kim Grindle, Allison Grindle, Justin and Julie Castleberry, Sam, Eli, Isaac, Cooper, Slade; sisters, Millie Watson of Forsyth County, Betty Bruce of Panama City, FL and Jacki Freeman of Dawson County; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive. Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 2, at 4:00 P.M. at Salem Baptist Church with Rev. Bud Sutton, Rev. Keith Martin and Rev. Clark Watson officiating. Interment will follow in the Salem Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 11:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M. and Thursday from 11:00 A.M. until 3:00 P.M.
