Floyd L. McIntyre

Floyd L. McIntyre, age 88, of Cumming, passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2014 after an extended illness. He was born and grew up in Toccoa, GA. Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Elizabeth Hendrix McIntyre of Cumming; 6 daughters, Carolyn and Talmadge Pace and Joyce Finley of Toccoa, GA, Vivian and Charles Jones of Dawsonville, GA, Delores and Ben Davis of Danridge, TN, Nellie Sue Sheets and Mary Jo and Mike Derden of Cumming, GA; sister, Patricia Farmer of Toccoa, GA; 14 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and other loving family and friends. He was a retired Staff Sergeant with the United States Army after 21 years of dedicated service. In addition he retired from AT after a 20 year career. We will greatly miss our husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 21, 2014 at 4:00p.m. at Ingram Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 20, 2014 from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. His final resting place will follow at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens.
