Frances was born on February 24, 1932 to Nicholas and Mary Calabro in Manhattan, New York. In early 1956, she met Mark Clendenin while working at Merrill Lynch, and they wed in November of that year. They moved to Cleveland, Ohio in 1957 and had four children, Mary Lou, Larry, Nick and Elena. In 1971, they moved to St. Petersburg, Florida where she lived until 2012 before moving closer to family in Georgia.
In addition to being a dedicated and loving daughter, mother and grandmother, Frances loved being surrounded by family and friends. Her humour was like no other as she loved to laugh and make others laugh too. Shopping and buying things for others was one of her many joys .Throughout her entire life, she held an unwavering faith in God, which she shared with those who surrounded her.
She was predeceased by her father Nicholas in 1989, husband Mark in 2006, mother Mary in 2011 and brother Daniel 2017. She is survived by her children Mary Louise, (Robert Townsend), Lawrence, Nicholas, (Debbie), Elena, (Tom Aloi) and nine grandchildren, Elizabeth, Michael, Mark, Julia, Jack, Jane, Phillip, Kelly and Patrick. She had many nieces and nephews who held a special place in her heart. We are eternally grateful for the love and care she received from the ladies who were her caregivers in her final years. Although we will miss her greatly each day, we know she is happy to be reunited in heaven with her loved ones.
