Frances Adrianne DuPree Williams

Mrs Frances Adrianne DuPree Williams, 85, of Cumming died on November 22, 2023.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Larry Williams and her parents, Benjamin Homer DuPree and Nancy Elinor Stewart DuPree. Mrs Williams graduated from the Georgia Baptist School of Nursing and the University of Georgia. A natural leader, she served the people of Atlanta at the Georgia Baptist Hospital as head nurse before transitioning to private duty. In 1975, she began teaching occupational therapy for the Gwinnett County School System until her retirement. Mrs Williams was wholly dedicated to her community, friends, and family. A long-time member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church and her “Lunch Bunch” Card playing group, she was known to friends and family as the life of any event, an avid reader, and a trusted friend.

She is survived by her children: Lawrence Williams (Kathy), Sharon Williams Haynie (Pierce), Ruth Williams Torchia, and David Williams (Natalie); her grandchildren: Spencer Williams (Allison), Mitchell Williams, Adam Torchia, Anne-Marie Torchia, Baylee Williams, Ellie Williams, and Emma Williams; and Brother and sister-in-law Kenneth DuPree (Edna).

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 25 at 11:00 am at the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dana Overton-Garrett officiating. Internment will follow at Sawnee View Cemetery in Cumming. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday morning beginning at 09:30 am until the service begins.
