Frances O. Ping Hames, 95, of Cumming and Gainesville passed away Tuesday, August 6, 2019. Ping, also known by her family as Nanny Peanut was born January 24, 1924 in Ashland, MS to Oscar and Willie Mason lived most of her life in Forsyth County. She was the best cook ever and always kept her home in a perfect state. Nanny Peanut was known for loving birds and working in her yard. Every day she arose to put on her makeup and was dressed to perfection. She was fun-loving and enjoyed traveling, always ready to make a trip on a moments notice. After retiring from Parsons in Cumming, she worked part time for her daughter at Balloons Instead and at Christmas she wrapped presents at Lakeshore Mall. A longtime member of First Baptist Church of Cumming, Ping is preceded in death by her husband. William A. Hames.

Survivors include her children, Sandra Bell and Scotty Hames; grandchildren, Amanda Bennett, Hudson Hames, Billy Bell and Chris Bell; great grandchildren, Kenzie Bell, Austin Bivens, Georgia House, Callie Bennett, Dade Bell, Ranyn Bell, Blair Bell and Masin Bell; a great great granddaughter, Ava Mae Hames; a great great grandson, Dawson House; and a number of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 8, at 8:00 p.m. at the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Earl Pirkle officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until the time of the service.

In lieu of flowers donations, in her memory, may be made to your favorite charity.

Ingram Funeral Home Crematory, 210 Ingram Ave, Cumming, GA 30040 is in charge of arrangements.
