Frances Virginia Mijal Moch, age 72 of Alpharetta, Georgia passed away May 5, 2009 at Embracing Hospice in Cumming, Georgia.
She was born Aug. 4, 1936, in Manchester, to Matthew and Stella Jajesnica Mijal. Following high school graduation, she joined the Air Force and was a radiology specialist at Parks AFB in California. She was honorably discharged in November of 1957. She was married to William Moch in May 1957 in Manchester, New Hampshire at Saint Joseph Cathedral.
She lived in New Hampshire, Germany, Kansas, North Carolina, Ohio, Texas, and Taiwan before retiring to Alpharetta in 2000.
She enjoyed traveling, shopping cooking, decorating, and spending time with her family and friends.
Following the death of her son, Christopher, on April 30, 1975, from leukemia, she decided to become a nurse so that she could comfort others in need.
Family members, in addition to her husband of 52 years, include a daughter, Kathy Edwards of Arlington, Texas; a son, Bill Moch of Cumming, Ga.; four grandchildren; and siblings Matthew, Walter, Mary Jane, and Bonnie; and nieces and nephews.
SERVICES: A graveside service will take place Saturday at 11 a.m. at Saint Joseph Cemetery, 448 Donald St., Bedford, NH. The Rev. Joseph Cooper of Saint Joseph Cathedral will officiate. Following the service, a reception will be held at Puritan Backroom Restaurant, 245 Hooksett Road, Manchester.
