Frank Samuel Wood, Jr.

Frank Samuel Wood, Jr., age 76, of Cumming, GA. passed away on Sunday, April 11, 2021. He was born in Marietta, GA. and grew up in Commerce, GA. Frank was preceded in death by his mother, father, and brother. He is a member of Longstreet Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Becky Wood of Cumming; son and daughter in law, Scott and Heather Mallory of Cumming; grandchildren, Samantha and Andrew Shepherd of FT. Riley, Kansas, Moriah, Jedidiah, Jeshua, Nathanael, Joyanna, Naomi, Kristofer and Ireland; great grandchildren, Willow, Kathryn, and Gabriel Shepherd; sister and brother in law, Susan and Larry Jobe; several nieces, nephews and extended family.

Frank was a man that loved his family and fur babies. He enjoyed spending time at our mountain cabin in Suches,GA. He loved hunting with all his hunting buddies and the time spent through the years at different hunting camps and hunts to Colorado, Montana, Africa, and others. He even got his wife to start hunting and together they shared many happy memories. He is a man that loved to cook and loved cooking for his family and friends. When he started making candy he named it "Suches Smiles Candy" because he said when he watches people eat it there was always a smile on their face.

Frank was in the gun business for over 50 years. He built and designed guns for many happy customers for many years and in 1995 he owned and operated American Classic Marksman in Norcross until he sold in 2012 and retired.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 15, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ronnie McCormick, Rev. Don Westray, Rev. Gerral Richards and Rev. Pete Martin.

Interment in Longstreet Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at Ingram Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 12:30 p.m. until time of service.
