Frederick Robert Hipp

Frederick Robert Hipp, age 87, of Cumming, passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2017. He was a long-time choral director in many different Salvation Army church locations. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Margaret Hipp; brother, James E. Hipp; and grandson, Billy Southwood. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Velma Hipp of Cumming; children, Carol Hipp Southwood (William) and Janet Hipp Etue (James); grandchildren, Christy Kanazawa (Wes), Jim Etue III (Tricia), and Jennifer Hearn (Bernie); great-grandchildren, Aidan, Payton and Madison Kanazawa, Joey and Jessica Hearn, and Ashli Kelley, Tyler Smith and Julian Etue; and one great-great-grandchild, Karson Kelley. Memorial services will be held Wednesday, January 18th at 1:00 p.m. at The Salvation Army Atlanta Temple Corps, 2090 North Druid Hills, NE, Atlanta, Georgia 30329 with Captain Ken Argot officiating. The family will be available to receive friends there before the service, beginning at 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers donations can be made towards the Fred Hipp Scholarship to The Salvation Army Florida Music Conservatory, c/o The Salvation Army Florida Divisional Headquarters, P.O.
