Garry Lynn Ball

Garry Lynn Ball, age 76, passed away on September 23, 2024. He was born on October 23, 1947, in Oklahoma and lived a vibrant life across various states and even internationally, with residences in Michigan, Pennsylvania, England, Illinois, and Georgia.

Garry earned both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Oklahoma State University and later pursued an MBA from Michigan State University. His entire career was in the agricultural and farming equipment industry, starting with Ford Tractor Operations and culminating in his role as Senior Vice President of Engineering at AGCO Corporation. His commitment to his work mirrored his passion for life; he believed in working hard and playing hard. He was known for his generous spirit and commitment to making a difference in the lives of others. An avid traveler, Garry enjoyed exploring the world, as well as spending time outdoors. He was an enthusiastic golfer, hunter, and marksman, but nothing brought him more joy than the time spent with his three grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Thelma Ball. Garry is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Marilyn Ball; his son Brian Ball (Jennifer Bocker); daughter Sara Crosby (Ben Crosby); and three cherished grandchildren, Blake Crosby, Cooper Crosby, and Charlotte Crosby. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories that will be carried forward by all who knew him.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, October 27, 2024, from 2-5 PM at Polo Golf and Country Club 6300 Polo Club Drive, Cumming, GA 30040. Family and friends are invited to come together and share memories in honor of Garry’s life.
