Gary Felton Looper

Gary Felton Looper, age 73, of Cumming, GA passed away on Friday, October 1, 2021. He was born in 1948, to the late Felton and Laura Looper. Gary was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Cumming, GA. He retired from Sawnee EMC after 25 years of service. Gary is a United States Army veteran. Gary was an avid musician. He traveled all over the southeastern United States and Canada playing Blue Grass for 60 years. His favorite hobby was repairing instruments and people would travel from all over just for him to repair their instruments. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters, Audrey Wright, Ruth Sutton, and Janie Grace Cox.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Robin Castleberry Looper; sons, Josh and Casey Looper; brother, Warren Looper; sisters and brothers-in-law, Barbara (Glenn) Mullinax, and Kathy (Herb) Sams; and 2 grandchildren, Elijah and Jameson; along with many other loving relatives and friends.

Entombment services will be held Monday, October 4, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Sawnee View Mausoleum in Cumming, GA for immediate and extended family with Rev. Ronnie McCormick officiating.
