Gary lived a life full of amazing stories with quick wit and humor that will continue on through his friends and family. He served in the Vietnam War on the USS Yorktown, specializing as a helicopter mechanic. Returning home, he finally convinced his wife, Gail Corn, to marry him on May 3, 1975, celebrating 42 years, and later selling his beloved 57 Chevy. Together, they raised three children and proud to have four grandchildren that called him Papa. Gary retired as a production planner from the Lockheed Martin Missiles and Space unit at St. Marys, Georgia, on the Naval Submarine Base at Kings Bay. He was known for his many passions that have since been passed on to his children such as photography, astronomy, electronics, computers, gardening, and music.
