George Steven Barnes

George Steven Barnes, age 51, passed away on March 22, 2023.  He is preceded in death by mother, Jane (Brown) Barnes; father, Jimmy Barnes; sisters, Deborah Tallant, Sue Barnes; brother, Tim Lord.

He is survived by his adoptive mother, Peggy Phillips (Billy); adoptive father, Gene Dawkins; brother, Jimmy James Barnes; sisters, Sandra Ritter (Bill), Marie Barnes, Sherry Barnes, Jimmie Lou Barnes; adoptive brother and sister, Cindy Thomsen, Jeff Lord, Gene Dawkins Jr.; nephew, Randy Tallant; niece, Jayne Tallant; several Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Family and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 27, 2023, at 1:00 PM, in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with Rev. John Dell and Rev. Tommy Rudasill officiating.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, March 26, 2023, from the hours of 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM, and again on Monday from 10:00 AM until the hour of service. Interment will follow service at Pisgah UMC cemetery in Alpharetta.
