George Clifford Roberts

George Clifford Roberts, age 96 of Cumming, Ga., passed away peacefully at home in the presence of his family on Saturday, March 30, 2019.

He was born on February 19, 1923 in Pittsburgh, PA to parents George and Agnes Roberts. He served as a Medical Officer in the Army in WWII. He received the American Campaign Service Medal, Asiatic Pacific Service Medal and Victory Medal.

George was married to the love of his life, Lenore Pia Roberts for 58 years. He is survived by his wife, Lenore Roberts; his three children Dr. Douglas Roberts (Missy), John Roberts and Susan Roberts LeCraw; his eight grandchildren Sophia LeCraw, Sarah Roberts, Ashley Roberts, Brittany Pryby (Chris), Eric Roberts, Rebecca Fitts (Calvin), Turner Bonham and Katherine Bonham.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, April 6th at 4:00pm at Rock of Ages Lutheran Church in Stone Mountain with Pastor Randy Palm officiating. Arrangements are by Byars Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Cumming, GA.
