George Moody Eidson, age 80, of Suwanee, GA, was called home to meet his Lord and Savior on December 15, 2024. George was born in Jacksonville, Florida on February 17, 1944 to James and Cleo Eidson. He graduated from the University of West Florida with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting in 1974 and began his 35 year career in public and private accounting. While in college he was a member of Delta Sigma Pi. He married his high school sweetheart, Teresa Tomlinson Eidson, in 1964 and they recently celebrated 60 years of marriage.
In addition to his wife, Teresa, George leaves behind his cherished daughters, Jana Fedance (Perry) and Kara Falco (Michael). George’s legacy also includes his beloved grandsons, Kyle Eidson, Ryan Howard and Andrew Falco (Britt), and his great-granddaughter, Lola Eidson, whom he doted on. He also leaves behind one brother, Rev. Dan Eidson and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
George was a proud Navy Veteran and served during the Vietnam War and he remained active in Veteran organizations in various leadership roles throughout the years. He was instrumental in fundraising efforts to aid Veterans and their families. George was a long-time member of Sertoma dedicated to the service of mankind. One of his favorite past times was barbequing for community events. George was an ordained Baptist deacon and in addition to his passion for singing in the Choir, he used his God-given gifts to serve in leadership roles on many Church committees. He was a member of First Redeemer Church and actively involved in the Christian in Action Bible Study. He looked forward to his weekly fellowships with his VA brothers and men’s Bible study group.
George’s life was enriched by his love of hunting and deep-sea fishing with close friends. He also enjoyed collecting vintage cars.
A celebration of life will be held at Ingram Funeral Home in Cumming, GA, on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be at the Georgia National Cemetery, Canton, GA, at a later date.
In lieu of flower, donations can be made in George's memory to the VA Chapter he so proudly supported by mailing a check to Vietnam Veterans of America, CHAPTER 1030, P.O. Box 3088, Cumming, GA 30028
