George Hugh Russell, Ph.D. August 16, 1927 - July 11, 2010 George Hugh Russell, Ph.D., retired Professor Emeritus from Georgia State University, passed away Sunday, July 11, 2010 following a brief hospital stay. A Celebration of Life memorial service for Hugh will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 17 at the Rialto Center for the Arts at Georgia State University, 80 Forsyth St. NW, Atlanta, Ga. (rialtocenter.org) Hugh is survived by his wife of 23 years, Patti Ellington Russell, son Paul Russell, daughter and husband Ruth and Chris Mitchell all of Cumming, Ga , daughter and husband Anna and Kevin Clopton of Dacula, Ga., four grandchildren: Dustan Beall, Monroe, Ga, Andrew Clopton, USCG, Hawaii, Lisa Clopton, Minneapolis, MN, Lindsay Mitchell, Cumming, Ga. and one great grandson Aubry Beall, Monroe, Ga. In lieu of flowers, donations honoring Hugh may be made to either the Chronic Fatigue Immune Dysfunction Association of America, P. O. Box 220398, Charlotte, NC 28222-0398, or to Standard Poodle Rescue, 50 Sugarberry Road, Pensacola, Florida 32514. Ingram Funeral Home Crematory, Cumming, GA is in charge of the arrangements.
