Heaven welcomed its newest angel, George Kanon Parkman, 48 of Cumming, Georgia, when he “rang the victory bell” on February 14, 2022.
Kanon was a talented athlete, devoted coach, charismatic leader, community mentor, successful businessman, loyal friend and lifelong Georgia Bulldog. He lived a life of excellence and was admired, loved and adored by all who had the privledge of playing with him or being coached by him. His tough guy exterior housed his big teddy bear heart that motivated hundreds of kids he coached over the years through football, soccer and basketball. His most cherished and accomplished role was that of a devoted husband and father. He was a light to so many people, but his love for his family shined the brightest.
Kanon was born in Atlanta, Georgia on March 1, 1973 and graduated from Stone Mountain High School in 1991. After attending the University of Georgia, he married his high school sweetheart and love of his life on September 13, 1997.
