George Phillips (Phil) White

George Phillips (Phil) White

George Phillips (Phil) White passed away at home in Big Canoe, Georgia on July
6th. He was 83. Phil was a native of Atlanta, graduating from Brown High School
and Georgia Tech. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean
War for four years and retired as captain. He was founder and owner of
Sign Maintenance Company and G.P. White Construction Company.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, the former Nancy Ann Tatum, also of
Atlanta; son Phil White Jr.; daughter Wendy (Scott) Prausa and their
children,Courtney, Kelsey, Cassie and Matthew; daughter Carol (Chris) Daniel and
their children, Tatum, Kyle and Gracie; and nieces Julie Dinius and Lisa Bell.
Phil was a member of Big Canoe Chapel where a memorial service will be held at
11am Thursday, July 9th. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial
gifts be made to Big Canoe Chapel Missions,10455 Big Canoe, Big Canoe, GA 30143.
