Gerald Max Orr

Gerald Max Orr, age 70, of Gainesville, GA, passed away Saturday, February 19, 2022. Gerald was born on June 21, 1951. He was a loving husband to Kathy Orr for 42 years, father, and grandfather.  He was a member and deacon of Salem Baptist Church of Cumming, GA, where he taught Sunday school for many years.  He also served in several capacities for The Chattahoochee Baptist Association. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to fly fish. He is proceeded in death by his mother and father Gene and Naomi Driskel Orr; father and mother-in-law George and Louvenia Stanford.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy Orr; son and daughter-in-law Bradley and Megan Orr; son and daughter-in-law, Brandon and Amber Orr; grandchildren, Colton, Bryson, Brynlee, & Adriana Orr; brother and sister-in-law Wayne and Inez Orr; brother-in-law and sister-in-law David and Vicki Stanford; Nieces and nephews Michael and Lori Holbrooks and family, and Rodney and Tamela Stanford and family; caregivers Doris Gunter and Rhonda Morris.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 23, 2022, at 3:00 PM at the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with Rev. Donnie Nix, Rev. Michael Holbrooks, and Rev. Taylor Cole officiating.  The interment will follow at Sawnee View Gardens.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, February 22, 2022, between the hours of 6:00 PM and 9:00 PM, and again on Wednesday from 1:00 PM until the hour of service.
