Gerard Hugh Bogan, born July 21, 1943 in Plainfield, New Jersey succumbed at home to pancreatic cancer on Friday, October 11, 2024 in the presence of his wife Mary Catherine Warholic Bogan.

Gerard (Gerry), served in the New Jersey Army National Guard, attended the National School of Aeronautics Airline Training, and studied Business Economics at the University of Virginia. Gerard also attended the Colgate Darden Graduate School of Business Adminstration.

Gerard’s professional career through 2005 found him in increasing levels of responsibility culminating in the position of Vice President, Southeast Division for Emery Worldwide. He then served as Vice President of Field Operations for Quality Carriers, Chemical Leaman Tank Lines, Inc until his retirement.

Gerard was an avid golfer and runner, participating in many marathons.

Gerard was one of twelve children born to Edward and Mary Bogan, surviving are his twin, Sister Maria Joseph (Geraldine Bogan), Joseph Bogan, Patricia Acken, Bernard Bogan and Stephen Bogan. He was predeceased by Edward Bogan, Jack Bogan, William Bogan, Mary Scibetta, and Vincent Bogan.

Gerard is survived by his wife of 6 years, Mary Catherine Warholic Bogan, daughter Kristine Bogan Elam and three grandchildren, Caroline, Elizabeth (Lizzie) Elam, and Cooper Elam.
