Gladys Eva O'Kelley

Gladys Eva O'Kelley, age 87, of Cumming, formerly of Dawsonville passed away Sunday, October 23, 2016. Gladys was born December 24, 1928 in Dawsonville to the late, James and Bertie Fouts Pinion. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister and friend, and was a great cook, always wanting to feed everyone.She loved cleanliness, the outdoors, spending time in her garden. Gladys enjoyed having people around her and making them laugh. She is preceded in death by her husband, Joe R. O'Kelley; siblings, Annie Mae Pinion, Estelle Pinion, Mary Ruth Pinion, Junior Pinion, Janelle Burrows. Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Glenda and John Craig of Dawsonville, Myra and James Frady of Cumming, Donna Whitt of Cumming; son, David O'Kelley and his devoted friend, Jackie Shelton of Cumming; grandchildren, Richard Buice, Anthony Frady, April Dudley, Melissa Anthony, Jessica Ramey; 12 great grandchildren; sister, Ellie Lou Neal of Norcross; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 26, at 2:00 p.m. at the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Charles Blackstock officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
