Gladys Mae Martin Ogle

Gladys Mae Martin Ogle, 91, of Cumming, GA, passed away on February 18, 2023. Gladys was born in Honolulu, HI to the late Manuel and Mary Quintal Martin.  Gladys was a devout Catholic and was a member of Saint Brendan The Navigator Catholic Church in Cumming. 

Gladys graduated from Sacred Hearts Academy in Honolulu, HI. Gladys was much loved by her family, friends, and community. Her faith, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were her greatest sources of joy. Gladys’ smiling face and spunky attitude were always welcome at her numerous activities and volunteer work. She enjoyed counting collections at her church and serving on the funeral ministry committee. She was a devoted volunteer for 20+ years at Northside Hospital Forsyth; and served for 18 years on the scholarship committee for high school students going into the medical field. Gladys also enjoyed other activities, including Red Hats Society, The Lunch Bunch, and Book Club. Her favorite hobbies at home were gardening, reading, puzzles, and enjoying the birds that would visit her garden. Gladys loved sharing her Hawaiian heritage with her family and friends.

Gladys is survived by her daughter, Debbie Stubbe; son, Denis Ogle; daughter and son-in-law, Sherri and Kevin Johnson; grandchildren, Zachry Johnson and wife, Sally; Abigail Burgess and husband, Benjamin; Amanda Stubbe and fiancé, Sam; Shelby Dye and husband, Cameron; Morgan Johnson; great-grandchildren, Harper, Pyper, Hugh, Ember and Cameron Joseph Jr. “CJ” (deceased). She was also predeceased by her six brothers.

A funeral mass will be held at 10 am on Friday, March 10th, 2023, at Saint Brendan The Navigator Catholic Church. A memorial reception will follow at the church.
