Glenn Mack McArthur Charles

Glenn McArthur Mack Charles, age 76, of Rossville, GA., formerly of Cumming, GA. passed away Saturday, December 29, 2018.

Mr. Charles joined the Navy in 1959 and was stationed in Beeville, Texas. He later did a tour on the USS Saratoga. Mack was also stationed in Jacksonville, FL., San Diego, CA., and Naval Air Station in Marietta. He later was honorably discharged at Norfolk, VA., in the spring of 1963. He attended Forsyth County High School.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Glenn and Ida Mae (OKelley) Charles; sister, Mary Helen Charles Yates; daughter, Kelly Gwen Charles Turner; wife, Clista Burgess Charles; and his uncle, Leland Charles.

Mack was survived by his wife, Nancy Charles; his children, Randy Charles, Kim Hamby, and Karen Bruce; his grandchildren, Jessica Charles, Catie McGarey, Taylor Adams, Clay Cloud, Paul Cloud, Benji Frady, Megan Rich, Madison Rich, and Ashley Cox; 13 great grandchildren; sister, Cherrie Charles Grimes; special friends, Bobby and Clara Mae.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 6, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Clyde Boling officiating.

The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until time of the service.

Ingram Funeral Home in Cumming is in charge of arrangements.
