On May 15, 2023, Glenn Anthony Mullinax entered the gates of Heaven into the arms of Jesus. Glenn was born on December 16, 1941 in Cumming GA. He was preceded in death by his parents Almon Jay and Clara (Johnson) Mullinax, his brothers and sisters-in-laws, John Wesley (Grace Leigh) Mullinax, A.J. "Jake" (Deanna) Mullinax, Robert James "Bobby" Mullinax, and his brother-in-law, Ansel “Hank” Evans. He is survived by his wife of sixty-one years, Barbara Looper Mullinax, daughter and son-in-law Cindy and Andy Sudderth. He was the proud Papa Glenn of grandson Seth Sudderth (and Jessica), granddaughter Shanda Wood (and Jason), great-grandchildren Silas River Wood, Ezra Cain Wood, Skylar Hartley Sudderth, Gauge Anthony Sudderth, and Tate Jacob Sudderth. He leaves behind two sisters, Shirley Childers and Alice Evans. He was the very proud uncle of many sweet nieces and nephews and their families.
Glenn had a passion for building others up with encouragement and inspiration. He loved his family with a genuine love and was deeply devoted to helping them in any way possible. He worked for his dad's trucking company, Mullinax Trucking, as a young boy into adulthood hauling feed to farmers in his hometown of Cumming GA.
He began working at General Motors, Lakewood Division in Atlanta GA, in 1969 and retired after thirty-seven years in 2006. He was a member of the Ducktown Masonic Lodge #572 F and AM in the Ducktown Community of Cumming GA. He was a member of Second Baptist Church in Cumming GA. Glenn had the patience and teachable spirit to teach the majority of family members and friends how to drive and follow the rules of the road. There are many wonderful and funny memories of traveling with Glenn on beautiful backroads, beaches, major attractions, and great places to eat where he always looked forward to take us all.
If Glenn could say anything to the ones he loved, it would be to listen to the voice of Truth. The truth is God loves you so much He gave His one and only son Jesus so that ultimately you will come and live in Glory with Him.
There will be a Celebration of Life on Friday at 11:00 A.M. inside the mausoleum at Sawnee View Gardens, Cumming GA, with Pastor Ricky Byrd officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home the hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children, https://donate.lovetotherescue.org/give.
