Although I can’t see you
I can feel you
Although I can’t speak to you
I can hear you
Although I can’t touch you
I know you are with me.
I carry your grace
I carry your beauty
I carry your smile
I carry your eyes
I carry your kindness
I carry your graciousness
I carry you in my heart, my mind and my being.
You will always be the biggest part of who I am and who I will become.
My child will have a piece of you always.
To know you was to love you.
To lose you is unbearable.
I will not mourn but I will cry
I will not be a shadow, but a light.
You taught me to be a light, so a light I must be.
I may bow, but I will not break
I may shatter, but I will not disintegrate.
You showed me strength, so I must be strong.
I will carry you always.
