Guoqiang (John) Huang

Guoqiang (John) Huang, age 85, of Peachtree Corners, Georgia went to his Heavenly home on January 7^th, 2023.

John is survived by his wife of 57 years, Yaqin Chen, and daughter Wei Huang. Additionally, he is survived by four sisters and two brothers.

John was born and raised in Shanghai, China. In 1962, he graduated from Shanghai Jiao Tong University with a Bachelor degree in Engineering. He had been a navy officer, senior engineer, and senior manager. All his career life, he strived to maintain integrity under any circumstances. 

He first visited the USA in 1996 and eventually settled as a permanent resident in 2009. At age 81, he was baptized at the First Atlanta Chinese Christian Church. His journey with the Lord was a great witness to God’s mercy and love.

He was a most loving son, husband, son-in-law, and father. His humors and smile attracted people around him. And, he had a full life with wide range of interests, such as Tai Chi, traveling, painting, singing and dancing.

Visitation will be January 14^th, 2023 at Ingram Funeral Home from 1:30pm to 2:15pm. A private graveside service will start at 2:30pm at Sawnee Memorial Gardens. A celebration of life service will be held online on February 4^th.

In lieu of flowers, memorial trees may be ordered. Donations may be made to the First Atlanta Chinese Christian Church, or any charity of your choice.
