Hal Moreland Herring

Dr. (Coach) Hal Moreland Herring, age 89 of Cumming, passed away Sunday, February 9, 2014. He was a member of Cornerstone Christian Church in Dawsonville, GA. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 62 years, Virginia Herring; his parents, Tolbert and Emily Herring; brothers and sisters-in-law, Clyde and Sara Herring, Ralph and Lola Herring; son-in-law, Robert Ward; granddaughter, Lamar Herring. Survivors include his children, Dr. Shannon T. and Cindy Herring of Birmingham, AL, Tim and Patricia Herring of Palmetto, GA, Hilda and Keith Harding of Oceanside, CA, Helen and Ellis Copeland of Cumming, GA, Hala and Christopher Carlton of Denver, CO; grandchildren, Emily, Jennifer, Chase, Shane, Robert, Katie, Shawn, Kathryn, Hal, Savannah; great grandchildren, Thomas, Helena and Shea; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive. Memorial services will be held Saturday, February 15th at 2:00 pm at Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Joe Gaines officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 12:00 noon until hour of the service. Inurnment will follow in Sawnee View Memorial Gardens.
