Harold "Gene" Eugene Wright

Harold Eugene "Gene" Wright, 75, of Ellerslie, Georgia passed away on Monday, February 25, 2019.

Gene was born on February 26, 1943 in Columbus, Georgia. He was the son of the late Alver Clyde (A.C.) Wright, Sr. and Effie Lawson Wright of Columbus Georgia. He was known for his strong work ethic in framing and construction and his dedication to detail, his dependability, and his love for his wife, family, and God. He will be most greatly missed for his sense of humor and his witty view of life.

Gene is survived by multiple family members. He was a loving husband of 56 years to Nina Tindol Wright, Ellerslie, GA, and a dedicated and loving father to two sons – Randy Wright of Ellerslie, GA and Lyn (Ursula) Wright of Waverly Hall, GA. He is loving grandpapa and granddaddy to 6 grandchildren Ashley Wright Slaughter (Warren), Amber Wright (Troy), Brittany Wright Broughton (Von), Lindsay Wright, Andrew Wright, and Madison Wright and great-grandpapa to 4 great-grandchildren Mia, Andrew, Aria, and Braylon. He is survived by 4 of 13 siblings: Ellis (Wanda) Wright, Ted Wright, Erskine Wright, and Shirley Crouse. He is also brother-in-Law to Sue Thames (Joe) and Diann Cornish (Frank) and has numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial Services will be held Sunday, March 3 at 2 PM EST at Old Shiloh Baptist Church 21659 GA Hwy 116, Shiloh, GA 31826. The church will be open to receive flower delivery Friday, March 1 from 12-3 PM.
