Harold Lamar Jones

Harold Lamar Jones, age 85, of Gainesville, GA. passed away Saturday, February 4, 2012. He owned and operated the Lantern Inn restaurant for 43 years. Harold was a Shriner for many years and served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He is preceded in death by his brother, Earl Jones. Survivors include his wife Virginia Jones of Gainesville; children, Debbie Jones, Linda Jones, Mike Jones and Brooke Dreger all of Gainesville; grandchildren, Tracy Jones, Stephanie Jones, Michaelyn Jones, Chastity Vinson, Matthew Jones, Misty Miller; great grandchild, Benjamin Dempsey; brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Mary Jones of Gainesville; sister, Betty Jones of Gainesville. ; numerous nieces, nephews and other loving relatives. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Ingram Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Alta Vista Cemetery in Gainesville. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Monday, from 12 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, from 10 a.m. until the hour of service. Ingram Funeral Home & Crematory, Cumming, Georgia is in charge of arrangements.
