Harry J. Martin

Mr. Harry J. Martin, age 66, a native and lifelong resident of Forsyth County, passed away Friday, April 30, 2010 following an extended illness. He was a member of Hightower Baptist Church and was a 32 degree Mason, member of the VFW and Cumming Shrine Club. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Diane Cowart Martin of Cumming; son and daughter-in-law, Dax and Jennifer Martin of Dawsonville; daughter and son-in-law, Deena and Stephen Robinson of Cumming; grandchildren, Emma, Ava and Gus Martin; brothers, David Martin of Cumming and W. L. Martin of Cumming; sisters, Laura Deen Carnes of Cumming and Marie Waldroup of Cumming; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive. Funeral Services will be held Sunday, May 2, 2010 at 6:00 pm at Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gerral Richards, Rev. Robert Martin and Rev. Pete Martin officiating. Interment will follow in Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Saturday from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm and Sunday from 9:00 am until hour of service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Charity or Foundation of your choice in Memory of Harry. Ingram Funeral Home Crematory, Cumming, GA is in charge of the arrangements.
