Harry Swistock

Harry Paul Swistock, 86, of Cumming, GA, passed away June 4, 2024. He was born in New York to the late John and Frances Swistock. 

Harry grew up in Houtzdale, a small borough in Central Pennsylvania. After graduating college, he started his career at MRC Bearings in Jamestown, NY. He moved his family to Southern California in 1966 and worked for Leeds & Northrup as an engineer. In 1978, he became the Plant Engineer for Schlosser Forge Co. Upon his retirement, he and his wife traveled extensively and doted on their grandchildren. Later in retirement, he become involved in his community and had many friends with whom he enjoyed spending time.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 59 years, Phyllis Swistock. Harry is survived by his sons and daughters in-law, Ede & Peggy Swistock, Don & Jennifer Swistock, Ron & Robin Swistock; grandchildren, Matt Swistock, David Swistock, Monica Swistock, Nate Swistock; brother, Richard Swistock; several nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

A celebration of life will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday, June 11, 2024, in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service at Ingram Funeral Home & Crematory, 210 Ingram Avenue, Cumming, GA 30040. 770-887-2388.
