Hazel Irene McBrayer

Hazel Irene McBrayer, age 89, of Cumming, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 4, 2016. Hazel was a lifetime member of Zion Hill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar Lewis and Cora Redd McBrayer; brother, Hoyt McBrayer; sisters, Willie Mae McBrayer, Bertie Bottoms, Edna Wheeler; nephews, Robert Wheeler, and Grady Bottoms. Survivors include her nieces, Linda (Lamar) Westbrook, Renee (Jerry) Hogan, Brenda (Dave) Karlson, Mary (D.C.) Nolan, Martha Hammond; nephews, Harold (Rosemary) Bottoms, Tommy (Joan) Bottoms, David (Tina) McBrayer; several great nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2016, at 2:00 PM, at Zion Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Harold Bottoms, Rev. Robert Martin, and Rev. Allen Dixon officiating. The interment will follow at Zion Hill Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Friday, February 5, 2016, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM. On Saturday, February 6, 2016, Ms. McBrayer will lie in state from 1:00 PM until the hour of service at Zion Hill Baptist Church. The family would like to thank Chestnut Ridge Nursing Home staff and Agape Hospice for their excellent love and concern during her extended illness.
